Cyborg Geisha-AGAIN! by Kayla0 Cyborg Geisha-AGAIN! by Kayla0
I can hear the "I prefer the old version" comments from here!
All I know is, I don't.

Both were created with a mix of SAI and Photoshop

I don't prefer one of the other, I think they're both awesome! :D
The first one shows a lot of detail, while the other has a dynamic flow to it. You improvement definitely shows in the second one though.

Thanks :) I've learned now that piling on the detail doesn't necessarily make it a good picture

WOOOT! Love seeing your improvements! Your new one has a more relaxed pose and the composition is more dynamic! And the geisha's face is more mysterious!

I find the old version still very good, but the new one is incredibly beautiful, I like the dynamics and the composition a lot! :D

Oh, I know these "I like the old one better" comments. I mean, everyone has a right to like what they want, sure. But I dunno what I'm supposed to do with them. Also, it is usually the little things the authors sees best, and others might see it if they are struggling with it too: like here, both pictures are nice at first, but if you look for a moment, you can see you've improved shading and anatomy, and tried more to connect everything: the composition, the emotions.

Thank you <3
I put a lot of thought into fixing the composition of the piece, so if anyone told me they prefer the old version I'd think them blind.
Slapping things on a page at random does not a succesful picture make!
