My entry into the "OC's at their best" contest :3 [link]

This was pretty fun :D! Characters are Maxine and Kristov from my comic, #ArtSchoolSubRosa :iconartschoolsubrosa:, which quite shamefully I haven't updated for a month- Sorry guys, that's what happens when bioware releases a new game! *Dragon Age 2 addicted*

So I'm thinking Max either lost a bet, was offered a lot of cash, or least likely but still possible puppy-dog-eyed at to model for Kris. Not that he really needs her to pose for more than a minute with his eidetic memory, but we don't need to remind Max about that :P That'd be cock-blockin'


I didn't want to do just a "character sitting about looking pretty" thing for this, but in a roundabout way I kinda have- but at least I incorporated personality into their poses and created a little humour :P.. the rules said that you should only have one character per entry... so uhhhh... Max doesnt really count D:

Done in paint tool SAI and photoshop on a wacom cintiq 12WX

Hopefully I'll get back into comic pages soon. Have a few commissions to do, and would like to do a lot of traditional painting too as I feel I've been neglecting it.

Also, painting within a painting... WE CAN GO DEEPER?

This is one of my favorite entries, but it breaks the rule of "only one character per entry". I don't know if you can fix that, but it's really good and has nice composition and use of color.

Kris really enjoys living life on the edge doesn't he? XD Either that or he just likes Max to hit him. :giggle: All in all the detailing is simply amazing! I mean right down to the little paint bloches on the pants, to the painting within that looks like an actual textured canvas. Just wonderful and playful!:la:
